We are close to the start of the 26-27 school year! Just a reminder that we are only a week away from Open House. We hope you can join us on Monday, August 17th, from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. The first day of the school year will be on Wednesday, August 19th. It is a full day. We are so excited to have everyone back in the building. We hope to see you all next week!

The MCM Softball team is headed to state! The Fighting Cougars earned a spot in the Class B State Tournament after winning their SoDak 16 game last night. The State B Tournament will be held in Aberdeen on June 4-6. MCM will open tournament play against Redfield on Thursday, June 4 at 2:00pm. The SoDak 16 Softball game on Tuesday in Salem is a SDHSAA event, so tickets will cost $6 for Adults and $4 for Students. No passes will be accepted.

The MCM Softball team will be playing in the SoDak 16 against Bon Homme on Tuesday, May 26 in Salem with first pitch scheduled for 5:00pm. Good luck Fighting Cougars!

The first game of the BEC Softball Tourney tomorrow in Beresford will now be at 12:00pm.

Today's MCM Softball game at Freeman has been cancelled due to the rain.

Just a reminder, there is a School Board Election on June 2nd. You can check out the Notice and Sample Ballot attached to this post!

The MCM golf teams competed at the Region 4B Tournament today in Mitchell, with both the boys and girls teams finishing 3rd overall. Individual results included Liam Rayman placing 5th and qualifying for state, Andrew Sabers placing 8th and qualifying for state, and Khloie Klinkhammer placing 8th and qualifying for state. Also competing for MCM today were Alyssa Roling, Katie Sabers, Noah Durfee, and Parker Randall. Congratulations to all of our golfers on a great season, and good luck to our state qualifiers at the State Tournament in Brookings on June 1-2!

Here is the bracket for the Big East Conference Softball Tournament. MCM will play Garretson in the first round in Beresford on May 23rd at 10:00am. Good Luck MCM!

Good morning, on behalf of the school board, I'd like to let everyone know that there will be a discussion regarding E-Sports as an activity for McCook Central High School at the May 11th school board meeting in the DDN Room at 7pm. Anyone wanting more information or who would like to provide input is welcome to attend or contact any of our board members. We hope to see anyone interested at the meeting on May 11th.

Today's MCM Softball game vs Gayville-Volin has been postponed. A rescheduled date is to be determined.

Time to get signed up for the summer reading program. Any student in grades kingergarten throughthe 8th grade are eligible to sign up for a fun morning of reading, gym activities and a small snack.
