Here is the schedule for upcoming first days of practice this Fall for 7-12 MCM sports.

McCook Central/Montrose is seeking an individual to serve as a Guide Runner for a high school athlete with a visual impairment for the upcoming Cross Country season. This is a paid position (hourly wage plus mileage). The Guide Runner will be tethered to the athlete (using a string from the Guide Runner's hand to the athlete's hand) and will verbally assist the runner in navigating the course. Here are a few details to consider: • Availability of approximately three days per week from mid-August through mid-October, aligning with the Cross Country season. • Practices are held in Salem, beginning after school around 3:45 PM. • Once meets begin, the Guide Runner would need to attend all meets and 1-2 practices per week. McCook Central Athletic Booster Meetings – Open to the Public We will be holding open Athletic Booster meetings on the following dates to continue discussions about possible changes to the structure of the program and how we can look at funding various requests from athletic programs: • Sunday, July 20th at 7:00 PM – McCook Central PAC • Wednesday, July 30th at 6:30 PM – McCook Central PAC We encourage input from all interested parties and hope to see you there!

The MCM Softball Team will be playing against Florence/Henry in the SoDak 16 on Tuesday, May 27th starting at 5:00pm in Florence.

Congrats to the following MCM Golfers that qualified for the State B Tournament on June 2-3 in Watertown: Khloie Klinkhammer (7th), Mason Sabers (3rd), Liam Rayman (16th), and Andrew Sabers (20th).

The track meet scheduled for Monday, May 19th at Hanson has been cancelled due to the forecasted weather.

The MCM softball game that was scheduled for today in Parkston has been cancelled.

The BEC track meet scheduled for today in Flandreau has been canceled.

Tomorrow (Thursday, May 15th) is our final school day for the year. We will dismiss at 1 p.m. Graduation is this Saturday, May 17th, at 2 p.m. in the main gym. We hope everyone has a great summer and look forward to seeing everyone back next fall!
